Farmstand opens…Yum Yum!

We will be selling locally grown, fresh picked STRAWBERRIES & ASPARAGUS this spring. Available at our Naperville store and if there is enough, at our Aurora store also.

This summer, we will continue to sell fresh picked sweet corn and tomatoes at our Aurora store.

This fall, we will continue to sell the most beautiful pumpkins, squash, gourds and stalks at both locations.

NEW PRODUCTS FOR 2008

We’ve made amending your garden beds a lot easier with two of our own products.

The Growing Place Garden Mix contains 50% Pine Fines, 30% Garden Compost, and 20% Top Soil. Work a few inches into your soil when preparing a new bed or use it as a top dressing in existing beds. Available in a 2 cu.ft. bag for $6.99.

The Growing Place Natural Fertilizer (5-3-4) is a premium, high nutrient blend of natural materials to condition the soil and encourage sustained plant growth. It is a slow release, non-burning formula to work into new beds, fertilize existing plantings, in vegetable gardens and on lawns. Available in a 5 lb bag for $7.99 and $24.99 for a 25 lb bag.

In an effort to be more green, we are offering more natural products to solve your gardening problems.
We are expanding our Espoma® product line to include Earth-tone® Natural Pesticide products.

3n1 Disease Control is a patented dual formula ready to use spray. It contains natural pyrethrins and sulfur to kill fungus, insects and mites. It is non-toxic to bees and has been proven superior to Neem and other naturals.

Insect Control contains natural pyrethrins and canola oil for a fast acting, general-purpose insecticide for gardens and houseplants. Kills all stages-adult, larvae and eggs on contact and can be used up to the day of harvest on edible plants. Also effective as a dormant spray.

4n1 Weed Control is a patented formulation featuring natural and food safe ingredients. It is a non-selective herbicide, meaning it kills weeds, grasses, moss and algae. Results can be seen in hours. Prevents regrowth for up to six weeks.
