Growing Place Choice Garden

This garden is filled with some of our favorite plants. They are low maintenance, long-lived and attractive most of the season.

Heirloom Garden

Filled with plants from as early as 1700 and their improved cultivars, this is the perfect compliment to our circa 1860 landmark farmhouse.

Annual Sampler Garden

Newly introduced annuals and also some of our favorites fill this colorful garden.

Hummingbird and Butterfly Garden

Birds and butterflies find everything they need in this garden including butterfly weed, butterfly bush, salvia, and liatris.

Sunny Welcome Garden

This brightly colored garden will welcome you all season long with spring bulbs through glorious fall grasses and mums.

Succulent and Rooftop Gardens

Bring on the heat! Featuring colorful annual and perennial succulents, the roof and lower gardens thrive in our hot dry summer months

A pond liner and peat-based soil keeps moisture available for these wet loving plants.

Low Maintenance Gardens

Low maintenance takes shape in these gardens in three distinct styles. In the Asian Garden, a spectacular gingko tree sets the tone for this soothing spot. The Groundcover Garden features plants perfect for dry shade. In the Rock Garden, the stone adds structure, height, and excellent drainage for this alpine-looking space.
