Our design professionals are deeply rooted in The Growing Place tradition of planting the right plant in the right place. We use a broad palette of plants to satisfy every garden style. From a home consultation to detailed scaled drawings, our experienced designers are ready to offer you complete horticultural solutions. We are happy to offer advice on any do-it-yourself project.

Our Sales Staff will help you set goals and determine key plants and procedures for implementation. For best results, please provide printed photos and measurements.

An appointment will be recommended if more time is needed than a walk-in visit allows. 
During the appointment, designers will focus on suggesting key plants and their placement for a small area. You will need to provide pictures, measurement, a plat of survey, and a completed design questionnaire. Appointments are $30 and are refundable with a $300 one-time plant purchase. Consider signing up for our Design Specials on our Let Us Help You Days on the third Saturday of the month when the $30 price is refundable with a $150 purchase.

Home consultation services include plant identification, care and pruning information, design suggestions and plant placement. Ideal for a do-it-yourself planting!  $75 per hour.

Scaled drawings are perfect for more detailed plans that require specific measurements and spacing. This starts with a home consultation, photographing and measuring the area. It is followed by a plan presentation at The Growing Place to review your scaled drawing and to see the suggested plants. It also includes a plant list with photos and care instructions as well as a quote. Fees start at $150.

• Plant removals and transplants available only with the purchase of The Growing Place plants

• Installing drain tiles, downspouts and sump pump extensions

• Fountain base installation

• Seasonal clean up and bed cleaning (weeds and other debris)
• Patios, retaining walls, and walkways (many stone choices available)
• Rock and stone removal or placement

Container Design & Planting
Our Container Designers create pre-planted and seasonal decorations. We can customize an in-house design according to your specifications or come to your home or business to assess the site. We will design and plant using your containers or choose from our extensive line of pottery. Four-season rotational planting is our specialty!

Delivery Services
Delivery services start at $50. Additional charges may apply for distance, extra manpower or set up.
